About Austin Schenkel

Austin serves as Managing Partner at DUWEST, focusing on tenant representation and deal sourcing. Currently, he is responsible for creating and executing market strategy and site selection for clientele including Shake Shack, KidStrong, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, Mammoth Fieldhouse, Victoria's Secret, Smalls Sliders, Firehouse Subs, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Palma, Plank Seafood Provisions, First Lonestar Bank, LDU Coffee, Pinewood, Methodist Health Systems’ Family Health Centers, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Qdoba Mexican Eats, Oddfellows, Trades Deli, and Anthem Texasian Grub, among others. Prior to merging with DuWest Realty, Austin co-founded and handled day-to-day operations for DBA Commercial Real Estate, a full-service brokerage firm that leased over 2 million square feet of retail space and represented over 50 retail and restaurant groups from 2016-2026. Austin attended the University of Kansas where he received his degree in Economics. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR). Austin is a lifelong Dallasite and in his spare time can be found with his wife, Maddie, and their daughter, Palmer.
